Petition For Hearing
At Bell Shah Law, LLC, we represent individuals who are seeking to obtain a professional license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Professional licenses include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Attorneys and accountants
- Architects, auctioneers, and auction firms
- Mortgage brokers
- Physicians, audiologists, dentists and nurses
- Psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors and social workers
- Real estate agents and brokers
We also represent individuals who are reapplicants and want their licenses restored. We will also be there for you in the event you face a disciplinary hearing regarding your professional license. If you receive notification from the department that you have been denied licensure or denied restoration, you need to contact Bell Shah Law, LLC, and learn about your options.
The Legal Options Available To You
If we find that you were wrongfully denied your license or restoration of license, we will file a petition for hearing and get your matter heard before the department. The parties may agree to a consent order. Otherwise, the matter will be heard by an administrative law judge and professional board at an evidentiary hearing, with the final decision made by the director of the department.
